Annette Medero

Annette is the Vice President of the Finding Peace Campaign Corporation. She is passionate about Domestic Violence and helping people who have been victimized by abuse find hope.  Annette also helps the community with resources to aide in bettering their lives.  Annette also helps youth with back to school drives and holiday gift giving to help families in need.  Annette is also responsible for communicating our events and workshops to participating active members in the Greater Hartford community in Spanish.  The outreach has been effective and has helped increase engagement for our activities, such as Zumba and Yoga.  Annette has incorporated holistic practices in her life that have made a positive impact in maintaining her wellbeing.  It is her goal to bring these practices to Latinos and support efforts to break down cultural barriers and taboos associated with Holistic practices.  People who primarily speak Spanish will have an opportunity to learn about benefits of Toivo and have access to information when referred to Annette.  In 2013 and 2014 LUPA recognized Annette as one of Connecticut’s top 50 most influential Latinos.  Advocacy Unlimited was also awarded the LPRAC Community Service Award for advocacy efforts and support in the Connecticut Latino community.
